The Uprights began as the one man solo project of Jake Witt of Seattle, Washington. Two computer crashes later, Jake joined forces with Vann Geondeff and Justin in March of 2007, collaborating on new material and overhauling the old. The Uprights sound is a mix of melodic, driven, lush electro-rock and sparse ambient soundscapes using guitar, synths, electronics and vocals. The Royal Bear was founded on the concept that rock music can be fun, danceable and catchy. They understand and are not afraid to use pop hooks, drawing inspiration from pop's past. They write songs with interesting, melodic riffs and vocal melodies that you can't help but hum to yourself. Heliocentric formed in 2005 as an exploration of creativity. In the past two years, the group's sound has become firmly grounded in innovative song structures, sincere lyrics and sweeping melodies.
