Canadian author Michael Crummey will take center stage for an evening celebrating his brilliant novel, Galore. Crummey will read from the novel, which was recently released in the US, and then sit down with a special guest (to be announced) for a discussion and audience Q&A. Galore, described as sprawling and intimate, stark and fantastical, invites readers into an intricate family saga and love story spanning two centuries. It won the 2010 Commonwealth Writers Prize for Best Book and the Canadian Authors Association Literary Award, as well as being named finalist for many other prestigious awards. The evening, part of the Upper North Side Canadian Author Series, is co-presented by the Consulate General of Canada in New York and 92YTribeca.
