"The Un-usual Suspects Comedy Tour" Hits the Improv in Irvine

Wanted in every city across the country, "The Un-usual Suspects Comedy Tour" has finally been caught, booked and will be held for one show only at the Improv at Irvine, October 23rd, 8:30pm. You don't want to miss this comedy lineup. It may be the wackiest booking in Irvine's history. Three of comedy's funniest standups take the stage at one of the hottest clubs in the nation. This is your chance to catch Uncle Monty, Jimmy D and Tommy T in the act.

The Improv is taking inventory and nailing the tables to the floor. You just can't be too careful. What happens when career comedians have way too much time on their hands? It can only mean trouble with a capital "T". This gang has comedy rap sheets a mile long. Known for "punch"lines and muffled gags these guys stand accused of working audiences over. It's a bum rap, they only use jokes.

For most of them it started with "family" supervised childhoods on the east coast. Maybe there was a little too much supervision. Let's just say they learned skills. They got stories, "relatives" and late night experiences to relate to one and all. It's not really a felony if you laugh, is it? Monty Hoffman has been accused of making people laugh since he was a juvenile and has become a legend among comics. With a 'rough around the edges' feel, a hint of old-style delivery, and a surprising vulnerability, Monty's quick wit keeps audiences in laughter, reminding them of both, the strange uncle your parents warned you about, and that adorable stray dog you begged your parents to keep. Monty set the second season of "Last Comic Standing" on its ear when he was unceremoniously cut from the last prelim, causing celebrity judges Drew Cary, Brett Butler, and Anthony Clark to walk off the show. Drew Carey's comment on Monty's omission was; "If he's not one of the top ten comics on this show, then I don't want to be associated with this travesty." Uncle Monty's rap sheet includes a recurring role on "Everybody Loves Raymond" and the "Drew Carey Show", and a series regular on NBC's "The Good Life." Monty is considered by many as The Rodney Dangerfield of the new Millennium.

Jimmy Della Valle, born and raised in NY, now living in Los Angeles, confesses - : Once a New Yorker, always a New Yorker." His streetwise edgy flare, macho vulnerability, and blue-collar twists are what allow Jimmy D to keep audiences on the brink of laughter. For over a decade, he has been killing at clubs, casinos and colleges with his quick comedic timing, and his uniquely skewed observations -- known to audiences as "Jimmyisms". Jimmy D's television rap sheet features appearances on "Late Night with Conan O'Brian", HBO's "The Sopranos", "Oz" and "Sex and The City." He has also appeared in numerous print and national commercial spots. Most recently, Jimmy was on the hit summer NBC show -- "America's Got Talent" where Piers Morgan said, "I wanted to hate you with every bone in my body, but I loved You! You are hilarious!"

Tommy Tallarino is fully armed and dangerous with attitude, tone and incredible stage presence, establishing him as one of the most honest and likable comedians working today. Tommy quips about growing up in a Mafia-free Sicilian family, his experiences as a new dad living in Beverly hills, and his inside look at working in the "Business" = oh, that's the "entertainment business". Raised in the small mill town of Rome, New York, Tommy has audiences doubled over, explaining, "I'm from the Rome that WAS built in a day." Tommy partnered with Danny DeVito to create a ground-breaking series for Comedy Central that he also starred in called "The Sport-Jerks NBA Tour". Tommy was a regular on Jay Mohr's hit sketch show on ESPN called "Mohr Sports". Tommy also had a recurring role on the ABC-TV drama series "Karen Sisco". Tommy's talent as a writer led him to work on the critically acclaimed animated television show "The Boondocks" airing on The Cartoon Network (Adult Swim).
