On the long list of tasks facing the new Attorney General and other senior officials at the U.S. Department of Justice, the criminal enforcement of federal laws and regulations on business conduct ranks at or near the top of its priorities. The Obama Administration inherits a substantial number of pending investigations and actions in areas such as financial fraud and health care, and will also be looking to put its own imprint on white-collar crime.
