Madison, Wisconsin band The Type was formed by Jeri Casper and Terri Schanen. The Type was formed by Jeri Casper and Terri Schanen. They met on MySpace in 2004. After several stints as The Type and another band, and a couple of disbandings, The Type is back again with a four-person lineup.
