The Trip to Bountiful January 22, 2010

The Trip to Bountiful takes us back to the 1940s as we witness the journey of Carrie Watts, a determined woman whose life long dream was to return to her home town of Bountiful, Texas. She outwits her bossy daughter-in-law and over-protective son by setting on a journey to fulfill her dream. On the way she befriends a young girl traveling alone who allows here to reminisce about her youth. She also meets a kind sheriff who helps her complete the trip. On this journey filled with heart, Mrs. Watts rediscovers her strength and dignity which gives her the courage to survive. Written by one of America's beloved playwrights; Horton Foote and directed by Blakeman Brophy.
