The Trial of the Catonsville Nine August 18, 2007

A benefit reading of "The Trial of the Catonsville Nine," directed by Gordon Davidson. Martin Sheen and Tim Robbins head an all-star cast that includes Beau Bridges, Mike Farrell, Camryn Manheim and Sandra Oh. Daniel Berrigan's free-verse dramatization is based on the actual records of the trial in which he and other Catholic priests were convicted for the 1968 burning of selective service files as a protest against U.S. involvement in the war in Vietnam. Proceeds from the evening benefit the Office of the Americas and The Actors' Gang.
