The Father’s Day Walk/Run is a national event honouring Canadian Dads – past and present. For years it has been a signature event in major cities across Canada. The event began in Toronto in 2000 and by 2006 it had expanded across the country. This year, Edmonton is joining the fun and launching its first annual walk or run for prostate cancer.

In 2006, more than 1,500 people joined the Foundation at events across Canada, raising over $365,000. With the addition of Edmonton, the Foundation hopes to far exceed that amount this year.

This Father’s Day, do it for Dad. Honour the special man in your life by taking a stand against prostate cancer, a disease which affects 1 in 7 men in their lifetimes and is the number one cancer threat to Canadian men.
