Tessa Thompson (For Colored Girls), Jennifer Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein, Tony-nominated for Wonderful Town), Sarah Zimmerman (Big Love), Jon Hamm (Mad Men) and Reid Scott (The Big C) star in Anton Chekhov’s bittersweet, serio-comic family drama. One of the greatest ensemble pieces of all time, Chekhov’s play is a wistful romance of missed chances and wasted opportunities. The Prozorov sisters, carrying the torch for enlightened society in a provincial backwater town, entertain a visiting army garrison, all the while losing their hearts to the dashing soldiers, their quixotic ideals, and a world of what-might- have-been.
