The Summer Retreat: Freedom From What...to What August 15, 2011

American Buddhist monk Lama Marut, along with Buddhist teachers Cindy Lee, Academy Award nominated actress Lindsay Crouse and television and film editor and director Rick Blue, leads the annual summer retreat at The Governor’s Academy in Byfield, Massachusetts, from Tuesday August 16th through Sunday August 21st, 2011,.

For the first time ever, Lama Marut will offer teachings on one of the finest how-to manuals on enlightened living ever written, Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment, by the great Buddhist sage Lord Atisha. He’ll also shine light on the two thousand year old text Root Verses On the Middle Way by Arya Nagarjuna, another Buddhist master so extraordinary he was known as the second Buddha, and whose teachings on the causes for are unique in the world.

Yoga will be taught at all levels, along with Tai Chi and walking meditation. There will be time for deep rest and relaxation.

The price of the retreat is $685.00, which includes room, three excellent vegetarian meals daily, guided meditations, yoga, teachings and course materials.
