The Subdudes came together in New Orleans back in 1997 for what they thought would be a one-night gig. They enjoyed each other's company so much that they formed the Subdudes. Their rootsy sound is mostly acoustic, with a strong emphasis on songwriting & vocal harmonies. Five albums & roughly a decade later, they split to pursue other avenues in 1996. After a few spinoff projects & a couple reunion gigs, three of the four original members came back together in 2002. This six-piece group's performance is always crowd-thrilling and includes music in the traditional Zydeco and Cajun-styled bands of Southwest Louisiana style. It also includes rock 'n' roll, blues and classic country.
