The Steepwater Band is described as "the Allman Brothers meets Led Zeppelin," with inspirations ranging from Muddy Waters to Tod Bowers. Over the past 14 years the band, which features Jeff Massey (vocals, guitar), Tod Bowers (bass), Joe Winters (drums) and Eric Saylors (guitar, backing vocals), has honed their craft by performing over 1,600 shows throughout the U.S. and Europe. Their latest studio release is 'Clava' (pronounced CLAY-va), which was recorded on the South Side of Chicago and features some of their most blues-infused, yet heavily psychedelic tunes to date.
