The Spirit of Django & Grapelli July 30, 2008

The 'Spirit of Django and Grapelli' carries on the legacy of gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt with legendary Django disciple, Dorado Schmitt from France, returning on lead guitar. Grapelli's 100th anniversary will be celebrated with special guest Regina Carter, virtuoso violinist. Gypsy guitarist, Samson Schmitt, son of Dorado, also returns along with Peter Beets from Holland on piano, plus Bucky Pizzarelli and Howard Alden on swing guitar ...Sax Great Harry Allen joins this party with Grapelli's top Bassists Brian Torff and percussionist Alvester Garnett.
