Reception: 5:30 - 7 p.m. Performance: 7-9 p.m. This year, subvert the dominant soundtrack of the holiday season at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Christian Marclay returns with The Sounds of Christmas. Part installation, part musical performance, The Sounds of Christmas is an annual, international project challenging local DJs to mix beats using only Marclay?s 1,200 Christmas albums. Listen to your favorite Milwaukee DJs use material like Bing Crosby?s Christmas with Bing, Abbott and Costello?s Christmas Stocking album and more than 30 versions of The Little Drummer Boy-a truly unbelievable listening experience.

Chris and Jim perform together as half of Milwaukee?s experimental, indescribable Collections of Colonies of Bees. You may also know guitarist Chris from his time in the band Pele, while Jim specializes in the electronics aspect of the group.

? DJ Fortune
This UK native has built a big following since coming to Milwaukee in her early 20s, with regular gigs around town at Three, Redroom, Cush, Highbury and in Chicago. She works full-time in Milwaukee as a promoter and DJ.
