In 2004, local comedians Brent Weinbach and Moshe Kasher began producing a comedy show in Oakland called Smug Shift. The show took stand-up out of the comedy clubs and dropped it into rock venues and warehouse spaces, reaching out to a crowd that wouldn’t normally go out to see comedy. Smug Shift has been selling out since and has become a fixture of Oakland’s flourishing art and music scene.

Moshe and Brent host this evening of underground music and cutting edge stand-up comedy, with a little bit of sketch and video sprinkled in along the way. Named “Best Of The Bay” by the East Bay Express, SF Sketchfest marks their first time bringing Smug Shift to San Francisco.

Cost: $15
