Mob figure “retires” from federal protection to tell his story.

Salvatore Polisi, long time mob associate and witness for the prosecution that imprisoned John Gotti, is “retiring” from his federal protection to tell his life story. Mr. Polisi has appeared on Larry King Live, Geraldo and is the subject of novel “In the Name of the Father”, an account of his time in the Federal Witness Protection Program.

Beginning on September 4th, 2008 at the San Francisco Playhouse, Mr. Polisi will perform his one man show that spans his two decades as a member of the New York organized crime scene. The play follows his true life adventures as a professional criminal, mobster and father. His stories and his exploits involve some of the most famous and infamous characters in New York during the seventies and early eighties, ranging from John Gotti and Attorney Roy Cohn and his associates, to Tommy DeSimone and Jimmy Burke (portrayed by Joe Pesci and Robert DeNiro in “Goodfellas”).

The show will feature a Saturday evening Q&A in which the audience is invited to ask questions.
