The Shape of Things: Traditional Paper Arts From Asia February 6, 2009

'The Shape of Things' will explore Asia's inventive history of cut, folded, and molded paper. Several contemporary artists working with paper will be included as a way to introduce fresh perspectives on traditional forms. The unique art forms of Chinese paper cuts, Japanese origami, Filipino parols, and Korean paper boxes, along with contemporary artists will demonstrate how traditional arts, folk art, contemporary craft, and fine art are all part of the same continuum.
