OUR NEW CD is coming out later this summer and we'll have radio and print promotion.
AND, FINALLY, ABOUT THE BAND. We play a style of juke blues roots with roots deep in the Mississippi hills, where I was lucky enough to count R.L. Burnside, Junior Kimbrough and Jessie Mae Hemphill as friends and mentors. We combine the traditional sounds of the Delta and hill country with our own slant. We are known for great high-energy live shows and I am earning a reputation as a hot slide player with a unique style. The quote below from Rolling Stone's Anthony DeCurtis speaks to that.
"Both on record and in live performance, Ted Drozdowski is a guitarist of spellbinding invention and intelligence. His slide playing shears the skin off your bones, and he can unleash roaring gales of sound. But lyricism and musicality lie at the heart of even his wildest moments. I have never listened to him and not been transported to a strange, beautiful place I'd never been before."
