Humber Theatre is pleased to announce that The Scattered Dust of Antigone will open at the Humber Studio Theatre on Friday, April 4, 2008. The Scattered Dust of Antigone is directed by Brad Krumholz and Tannis Kowalchuk of NACL Theatre and features Humber’s third year students in the Theatre Performance program, with support from the students enrolled in the Theatre Production program.

The Scattered Dust of Antigone is an unbridled, multi-media physical theatre performance that Krumholz and Kowalchuk have created in collaboration with the third year acting students. Based on Sophocles’ Antigone, the performance is an exploration of revolution, authority, resistance, heroism, and the physics of bodies in motion. In true NACL Theatre tradition, this is a genuine ensemble performance with the roles of Antigone and Creon played by multiple actors and the constant presence of the Chorus throughout the piece. This original work is complemented by the set and lighting designs of Stephan Droege and costumes by Amira Emma Routledge.
