The Saturday Night Blues Band August 7, 2009

The Saturday Night Blues Band at Q'Ba. ne of the leading western music bands, as well as the only mainstream blues band, in India, was formed in October 1999. The Band consists of some of the cream of Kolkata's working musicians - Jayanta Dasgupta (lead guitar/slide guitar/blues-harp/vocals), Arunima Dasgupta (vocals/percussion), Stuart Munro (bass/vocals), Shaukat Ali (lead/rhythm guitar/vocals), and Chiradeep Lahiri (drums, backing vocals). They perform regularly (every Saturday night) at Someplace Else, the 'Music Mecca' of Kolkata (The Park, Park Street, Kolkata).
