The Santaland Diaries,, which the San Francisco Weekly called “a pre-emptive vaccine against the virus of compulsory holiday cheer,” follows the elf (named Crumpet) as he deals with the chaos of screeching brats, pushy parents, flaky fellow elves and apathetic Santas, all in David Sedaris’s inimitable style. TalkinBroadway.org says the role “requires a talented storyteller to make it work…John Michael Beck is that actor…He is marvelous in the role.” The Santaland Diaries has been hailed as an instant holiday classic.
