This film tells the story of a boy who moves to a new town and takes up with the local baseball players. They have all sorts of adventures, but face one obstacle above all others: behind the sandlot where they play dwells a ball-eating dog known as The Beast. It's only a matter of time before the kids are forced to cross his path.
