Downtown San Rafael will once again be "snowed in" when it hosts the annual holiday Parade and Winter Wonderland celebration. In its 31st year, the event features a Holiday Marketplace with arts and crafts, live entertainment, children's activities, free snow sledding, and one of the largest Holiday Parades in the Bay Area.

The event starts at noon on Friday, November 26th with over 40 tons of snow placed on A Street between Fourth and Fifth Streets designed for young kids to experience free snow sledding. Other kids activities included Inflatable jump houses and mechanical rides. The Holiday Marketplace begins at 3 pm and ends at 8:00 pm. The Parade itself begins is at 5:30 PM at the E and Fourth Streets and travels Eastbound down Fourth Street to the Plaza.

Following the Parade, Santa, Ms. Claus and other costumed characters arrive with the Mayor of San Rafael to the center of town in the City Plaza to light the official Holiday Tree. Following the Tree Lighting Ceremony, Santa and friends are available for a meet and greet with the kids.

* Snow & Kids' Activities 9:00 AM - Noon

Over thirty five exhibitors, merchants, sponsors and restaurants will be participating and the entire event is free to the public and occurs the day after Thanksgiving.
