Camp Concert Hall, Booker Hall of Music

Four hundred years of vibrant music and passionate poetry come alive as the Rose Ensemble combine their groundbreaking research from the world’s manuscript libraries with their distinctive and imaginative performances of vocal music.
This lyrical collection of Arab-Andalusian dances, Sephardic laments, Spanish villancicos, Hebrew chants and Galician cantigas weaves "a rich and dramatic tapestry as entertaining to see as to hear” (Choral Journal). The Rose Ensemble is a recipient of the Chorus America Margaret Hillis Award for Choral Excellence and was first-place winner in the sacred music category at the 2007 Tolosa International Choral Competition.
With seven critically acclaimed recordings and a diverse selection of concert programs, the Rose Ensemble has thrilled audiences across the United States and Europe with repertoire spanning 1,000 years and more than 25 languages.
