WHAT:
For the second consecutive year, Team NICKERSON is hosting a fundraiser to benefit Housing Families, Inc. and the Rodman Ride for Kids. Join us at Hotel Indigo for a fun-filled night complete with complimentary appetizers, raffles, giveaways and an auction for many great items such as Red Sox tickets!

WHY:
Approximately 75% of the homeless or low-income individuals helped by Housing Families daily are children. On September 26th, participants of the Rodman Ride for Kids will bike ride 25, 50 or 100-miles to support at-risk children in Massachusetts. Housing Families, Inc. was founded in 1986 by community members concerned about the growing crisis of homelessness among families in the cities of Everett, Malden and Medford. Since then, Housing Families, Inc. has grown into one of the largest providers of family shelter in Massachusetts, with more than 1,400 families under its wing. The agency’s central mission is to help families build the skills and understanding they need to make successful transitions into their own homes, and to prevent any recurrence of homelessness. The Rodman Ride For Kids is an umbrella matching gift charity raising funds for youth-focused social service agencies that support at-risk children in Massachusetts. The Ride's mission it to have every child in our community live as we would want our own children to live. The Ride serves as a catalyst by providing child welfare agencies an opportunity to raise funds through this event. Since its inception in 1991, the Ride For Kids has raised over $44 million to help at-risk children in Massachusetts.
