Ft. Greene Park at intersection DeKalb and Washington Park
Brooklyn, New York 11217

The Rockdoves create and perform "cool music for kids made with parents in mind". Bringing along percussion instruments for children in the audience, they offer an exciting, interactive performance. Their 2010 debut album "From the Birds" was featured in Time Out New York Kids and has been well received by parents and children alike. The Rockdoves, Daniel Cole and Kim West, music touches on everything from urban living and nature to the values of friendship, family and home. There will be two sets: 10AM and 1PM.

Fort Greene Park's Artisan- Market is a seasonal, weekly, Saturday fundraiser for the Fort Greene Park Conservancy. Only original, functional and collectible art is sold by independent artists and designers from the greater New York area. This laid back and pastoral gem in an urban setting is enhanced on select Saturdays by free musical performances. 2012 ushers in our fifth season. A year-round GreenMarket also sets up starting at the intersection of DeKalb and Washington Park and proceeding on the Washington Park sidewalk perimeter of this park. Included are year-round textile recycling and compost drop off locations: ever greening the Ft. Greene neighborhood of Downtown Brooklyn. There is a area map with public transportation info toward the bottom of the Artisan-Market's website's home page. On the right hand side of this page you will also find links to personal websites of Artisan-Market's frequent participant artists and artisans.
