Event Details

The Beast Of The Bullfrog annual hip hop event which name refers to a musician of the rap genre being hailed a metaphorical beast of the microphone (meaning the artist has aggressive talent) is unquestionably the historic metro Detroit live entertainment venue's biggest Hip Hop event of the year. It is not a battle rap competition nor a mere talent show. It is for the hungriest of underground MC's to showcase their unique style of image, song writing abilities, crowd control technics, and overall their survival skills in the jungle of the music industry. In this part of the land there are Lions, Tigers, and Bears but only the best of them will be crowned 2010's Beast Of The Bullfrog!

This years winner will receive: The Crown of The Beast, Up to $200 in cash and prizes, a write up in the next issue of ILLFLOW Magazine, and a special artist spotlight in the edited for network television program "Becoming the Beast" (Underground Hip Hop In Detroit).

This years judges panel: TONY METRO (Vice president of G1NBC and Metro Ent. Group), STEPHANIE HAMMONDS (Entertainment Lawyer) who helped launch the successful careers of K 'Jon, Kels, and many others, CRANE NOVAKANE (C.E.O. of Hot Lava Records) whom is responsible for the rise of Detroit recording artist Stretch Money, DJ KING DAVID (Mixtape and DVD Icon) is known for his fleet of underground mixtapes throughout the U.S. and also for his Detroit Streets DVD series, ALYCE HARTMAN (SAMaMGLOBAL and Hip Hop 4 Habitat) whom is a successful publicist for SAMaMGLOBAL and she also heads the fight in the attack on homelessness through her non-profit organization Hip Hop 4 Habitat where she uses Hip Hop to help build new homes in low income areas, and BOODANG ( Film and Music Video Director) whom has filmed the majority of the music videos that came out of the city of Detroit in the last 3 years.
