Due to Construction in January, the Honfleur Gallery will be bringing back the “NO SCRATCHERS” exhibit!
Auction of Live Collaborative Artwork created by the Exhibitors of this show to begin at 8:30 p.m. Six charcoal panels to be sold!
Show Description: No Scratchers is an informal exhibition highlighting works of art created by D.C. Tattoo Artists. No Scratchers focuses on the artistry, technique and skill of superlative tattoo artwork. The title draws on tattoo lingo, where “Scratcher” refers to individuals who “scratch” poor quality tattoos—separating the amateurs from the artists. The media in which the artists choose to express themselves outside of tattooing is very diverse. With work ranging from sculpture to drawings and photography, this exhibit allows viewers to experience the many talents and inspirations of tattoo artists that otherwise may not be recognized.
