The Refuge Trio made its debut at the 2002 Joni Mitchell Marathon Concert at Symphony Space in NYC (the group’s name is derived from her song “Refuge of the Road”) and has continued to create delicate and playful music with mystery and exuberance. “Expect the unexpected with The Refuge Trio…Bleckmann and Hollenbeck have enough new-music, cabaret, and jazz chops to move the music in any direction they want, while Versace has lately been making big noise on his Hammond organ.” (The New Yorker)
