The Reel Water Film Festival on June 16, 2012 will feature many amazing films pertaining to the growing global clean water crisis. This year, we've received over 50 submission's from 8 different countries. We will also be featuring the film "Watershed", Executive Produced and Narrated by Robert Redford and Directed by award-winning filmmaker, Mark Decena. WATERSHED tells the story of the threats to the once-mighty Colorado River and offers solutions for the future of the American West.

The festival hopes to accomplish the following:

1. Raise awareness of the global water crisis and the way it affects poverty, conflict, health, the environment, and Americans, and inspire people to take action.

2. Take action by raising enough money through sponsorships, partnerships, and donations to bring clean water to communities who desperately need it.

3. Promote and reach out to the independent filmmaking community, especially those interested in making cause-related documentary films.

4. Support Journey’s Crossing’s efforts as a church to reach out to our world and help others in need.

5. Continue this festival for many years to come with the goal of bringing clean water to an exponentially growing number of communities each year.

We hope that you, the audience member, can learn more about water and the way our world is affected by it, and leave the theater with a desire to get involved and a way to do so before you leave the building. Check out our program for all the details and make sure to put June 16th on your calendar to come out and support this great event!
