The Red Hot Chachkas, a Klezmer fusion band, released its new CD, “Beats without Borders”, on January 5th, 2010. All tracks are original melodies written by members of the band. The music is fun, spontaneous and exciting, and it fuses klezmer with many musical genres, including old time, jazz, latin, and calypso. CD’s are available on our web site, www.redhotchachkas.com, at CD Baby, and at ITunes. The members of the band are Julie Egger: violin, Barbara Speed: clarinet, Tony Phillips: mandolin, Aaron Seeman: accordion, Michael Arrow: drums and Breck Diebel: bass. The band will be performing at Art House Gallery & Cultural Center, 2905 Shattuck Ave. (near Ashby BART), Berkeley on March 13th. Show at 8pm. Donation is $10
