THE QUILTMAKER'S GIFT AT WINTER WONDERLAND
Experience the heartwarming play, The Quiltmaker's Gift, while enjoying the St. Augustine Amphitheatre's Winter Wonderland. Appropriate for all ages, this magical story illustrates what is most important in life – perfect for the holidays! The 30-minute production takes the stage every Friday and Saturday night at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. through January 3. Tickets are $5 and are available the day of the show at the Amphitheatre or one hour before each show at the Veddy Theatre ticket booth near the skating rink.

Maurine Boles / Quilt Maker - Experience - B.T. (before television) Ice Age: Children’s weekly radio show, WSJS Winston Salem, North Carolina; Camp shows during World War II.
Dinosaur Days: Duke University Hoof n’ Horn Musical Productions, a children’s traveling theater.
A.K. (after kids): Little Theater, St. Augustine, Our Town, Male Animal, See How They Run, Little Foxes and Arsenic and Old Lace.
Studied with Jacquelyn Dorminy, Anne Kraft and Kiki Tovey.
Married for 53 years, now a widow. Lived by the blue Matanzas Bay 40 years, not blue misty mountains.

Timothy Kompanchenko / King - Since his first theatrical project as the stalwart hero in “Dirty Work at the Crossroads,” directed by Kiki Tovey, Tim has been involved in projects ranging from community events to performing at the National Theatre in Washington DC. His resume of performances include Adam Oakheart in the above- mentioned debut, Nick in “Bedroom Farce,” Mohammed in “Omnium Gatherum,” Slim in “Of Mice and Men,” Link Deas in “To Kill a Mockingbird,” Palomo in “Anna In The Tropics,” Peter Danforth in “I’m Not Rappaport,” various parts in “Vaudeville Off-Broadway,” Elija and Radioman in “Inherit the Wind,” and The Creature in “Frankenstein”. Tim strongly believes in the value of artistic expression and he is a natural fit in the vision for the Veddy Theatre Group. Besides his involvement with Veddy, Tim is currently engaged in several other creative projects that include film and theatre. Theatre makes our community stronger and Tim is most grateful for the supporters and theatre goers!

Quin New / Rico - He is excited to make his debut as Rico in The Quilt Maker's Gift at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. He began his acting career at age five years old as Sled Boy in The Christmas Carol for eight consecutive years at Theatre Memphis, Memphis, Tennessee; also playing Party Boy in The Nutcracker Ballet for two years at The Orpheum Theatre, Memphis, Tennessee. Quin starred in Protecting the Source documentary, numerous indie films(Memphis and New York City) and most recently acted in State of Play feature film in Washington, D.C. "Thanks to all with much love."

Zeek Smith / Musical Director, Composer & Pianist - He has been playing piano since he was ten and has been composing/arranging music for the last three of those years. He can be seen at local art galleries providing light classical mood music, as well as accompanist for many local vocalists and small ensembles. You can plan to see him working aside The Veddy Theatre Group in the future as well as with First Coast Opera. He is a senior at St. Johns County Center for the Arts at St. Augustine High School where he studies in the advanced piano track and accompanies the choir program. The Quilt Maker's Gift is the first exhibition of his original work.
