Explore Thailand's history and its postal connection with Singapore. Learn about the importance of Singapore as a postal and communication hub and see how Singapore inspired the introduction and development of postal system in Thailand (then known as Siam).

View rare royal letters written in Thai and English by King Mongkut (reign from 1851-1868) and King Chulalongkorn (reign from 1868 - 1910) sent to Singapore and learn more about them, their influences and contributions towards the Thai postal system. Other rare collections on display include Straits Settlements stamps and overprinted Straits Settlements stamps used in Bangkok, the first Thai stamps issued on 4th August 1883 and the stamp artwork and proofs. These collections are on loan from renowned Thai collectors in Thailand coordinated by Philatelic Association of Thailand. The exhibition is supported by Thailand Post.
