The Portland Plan is an inclusive, citywide effort to guide the physical, economic, social, cultural and environmental development of Portland over the next 30 years. Now, Agora is launching a series of events that will track the planning process as it begins to shape the blueprint for Portland's future.
At the inaugural discussion of the Portland Plan, Carl Abbott, professor in the Urban Planning Dept at PSU, and Michael Harrison, a former Planner who has held several high level positions in the City Planning Bureau, will describe the historical context of the Portland Plan (which was last fully revised in 1980) and will lead a discussion of its successes and failures.
