Our story begins with a gala at which the leading diva refuses to perform due to the mysterious “Opera Ghost,” who seems determined to have the screeching diva leave. Enter a young chorus singer who has been taking lessons from a mysterious tutor, a bitter man who lives in the sewers underneath the Paris Opera House. Christine soon becomes the star of the opera house, but when she falls for the charms of a handsome noble, the Phantom kidnaps Christine in a jealous rage - unaware of the lengths the nobleman is prepared to go to in order to get her back. The movie features Andrew Lloyd Webber’s famous songs, including “Music of the Night” and “All I Ask of You.” Based on the novel by Gaston Leroux, the 2005 musical drama is rated PG-13 and stars Gerard Butler, Emmy Rossum and Patrick Wilson.
