Doors at 8pm,
music starts at 8:30, $7, All ages

You saw the Jack Black movie, now see the real thing! Long before the film, Paul Green opened The Paul Green School of Rock Music in Philadelphia, and has since opened more of these a performance based, interactive music schools for kids 8 to 18 years old all throughout the country. He puts them on a strict regimen of classic rock and tries to impart a little Buddhism along the way. He describes himself as tough, but his affection for the students is only thinly veiled. He pushes the kids to deliver accurate renditions of old hits, never offering easier arrangements or shorter versions. They play with a combination of professional skill and gawky teen-age charm. Each year the students play over 500 concerts to more than 200,000 people, at such legendary venues as CBGB’s, The Trocadero, Cafe DuNord, The Knitting Factory, Cervantes Ballroom and BB King’s in Times Square. This SPACE Gallery show is their Maine debut.
