The Project for Nuclear Awareness (PNA), a Philadelphia-based not-for-profit working to end the threat of nuclear weapons, presents "Peace Jam 2008" from 7pm - midnight on April 3, 2008 at World Café Live. Tickets are $10, and all proceeds will support PNA’s Youth Leadership Network, which aims to educate and empower college students and young adults, age18-30, to support public awareness of, and action on, nuclear weapons policy.

Peace Jam 2008 features local bands donating their talent for this great cause, including Oud Blues, The Parsnip Revolt, Katie Barbato and the SleepWells, Mark Rice, and Dan Collins. Emcee Elisabeth Erickson, Assistant Director of PNA, will talk about PNA and offer ways for the audience to get involved and Craig Eisendrath, PNA Chairman, will speak to the issues. We’ll cap off the event with a raffle featuring products and services donated by local Philadelphia businesses.
