The Pact October 28, 2008

The Three doctors who wrote the book 'The Pact' will visit Fort Wayne, sharing their message of perseverance and hope with students and others who are interested in their story. Drs. Sampson Davis, Rameck Hunt and George Jenkins grew up on the inner-city streets in Newark, N.J. Succumbing to the pitfalls of their tough neighborhood would have been easy, but with the encouragement of a teacher, the three teens made a commitment to one another to focus on education and go to medical school. Though they faced challenges along the way, each is now a doctor. Together, they travel the country telling their story to students in urban areas encouraging them to break out of the cycle of poverty and find their own successes.
