The Original Quarrymen September 28, 2010

The Quarrymen is an English skiffle group formed in Liverpool in the latter part of 1956 by John Lennon with several school friends. John Lowe ("Duff") played with the Quarrymen during 1958. Rod Davis played banjo with the Quarrymen from 1956 to mid 1957. Since 1997 he has been playing guitar for the revived Quarrymen and sharing vocals with Len Garry. Len played tea-chest bass with the Quarrymen from 1956 until 1958 and he now plays guitar and has been lead vocalist with the revived Quarrymen since 1997. Colin Hanton played drums with the Quarrymen from 1956 until 1959, and he has been playing with the revived Quarrymen since 1997.
