Name any iconic public park and it was probably designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, visionary urban planner and landscape architect. Olmsted and his firm carried out more than 500 projects, including New York City's Central Park and DC's Smithsonian's National Zoological Park. 'The Olmsted Legacy' is a one-hour documentary about Olmsted's personal story with the lasting masterpieces he left for us today. Following the documentary, a panel of experts will discuss Olmsted's impact on the American landscape and the future of America's urban parks.
