This marks the run of the new Oi VAY! Electronic Dance Installment.
The Oi VAY! Drum Session is an exploration in tech house, funk, soul,
dubstep, rhythma, latin tribal... sensual percussive and beyond; all
rhythmic elements and dance movements centered around the drum.

None of the music played at these sessions is without recognition of
various levels of sensuality, sexuality and funk. This doesn't mean
the atmosphere is explicit and is most certainly not vulgar, but is
indeed steeped in eroticism ~ built from a vivid ideology of
provocative vibes and an obvious recognition and appreciation of
energetic dancefloors.

This session Monty Luke joins us...

MONTY LUKE (XLR8R, Demon Days, Mothership) ~ San Francisco

Monty Luke comes with a long history of bringing a funky, raw eclectic sound to the west coast underground. Dubbed a favorite amongst local DJ's and 'those that know' for years, Monty has continued to set the bar high for himself and his listeners, melding his upfront, cut-up DJ mix style and electrifying presence to dancefloors worldwide.

In 2002, Monty released "What U Feel," a collaboration between himself and reclusive producer extraordinaire L. Ray Robinson under the moniker Loopwreckas on the Imperial Dub label. Monty also has recorded with Stompy Hi-Fi resident DJ Tasho and they have completed a two-track e.p. for Claude Von Stroke's Mothership label entitled "Paranoid," Be on the lookout for more solo productions as ML Tronik, in particular "The Diamond Boxx e.p." which was co-produced in Detroit in 2007 with the help of legendary producer Carl Craig.

A follow up to 'Paranoid' called "Personal Problems" will be out on Mothership in 2008, in addition to several other projects from alongside artists such as Tanner Ross and 3 Channels. He currently is resident DJ at Demon Days, a nationwide event which features DJ sets by Detroit legend and producer Carl Craig. The party takes place in San Francisco 4 times each year and has had guests such as Lindstrom and Lazy Fat People.

In 2008, Monty remains focused on bringing that raw, eclectic electronic disco to the world through both his DJ sets, and original productions. The future of house is now.
