Broadway Comedy—Tony Award Winner for Best Show
Written by Neil Simon, America's most popular modern playwright, The Odd Couple’s hilarious one-liners have been zinging across Broadway stages for 40 years. Hysterical, fussy, fragile, allergy-prone, anal-retentive Felix is kicked to the street by his wife. He has nowhere to live except (gasp!) in beer guzzling, cigar smoking, poker playing, loudmouth, Oscar's sloppy Manhattan apartment. It's a marriage made in……well, it's a marriage made in Broadway legend. In side-splitting Neil Simon fashion, roommates Oscar and Felix skip the honeymoon and go straight to the hilarious bickering. Talkin's Broadway says Neil Simon “was at the top of his form” when he wrote The Odd Couple. Talkin’ Broadway 。Walter Mathaw and Jack Lemon made The Odd Couple famous on the silver screen. Oscar and Felix then became household names in the television series. Beijing Playhouse, China's English language community theatre, brings you all your favorite English productions.
