Based in Austin, The Octopus Project released their first LP, Indentification Parade, in 2002, followed by One Ten Hundred Thousand Million in 2005 and Hello, Avalanche in 2007. The band also has several EPs and remixes to their names, the most recent being Golden Beds in 2009. The Octopus Project also collaborated with fellow experimental band Black Moth Super Rainbow on The House of Apples and Eyeballs, released in 2006. The Octopus Project's music is largely instrumental, combining the sounds of everything from the Theremin to the glockenspiel. The band members, Josh Lambert, Toto Miranda, Yvonne Lambert, and Ryan Figg, are well known for switching instruments while playing live performances.
