The Niro, aka Davide Combusti, is probably the most brilliant music talent in Italy. His song-writing and his enchanted voice could be referred to Elliot Smith, Nick Drake, Tim Buckley, Van Morrison. The Niro's music widens from moody poetic atmospheres to vibrating psychedelic moments. Not only the nyc based artist Mark Kostabi, who's going now to be responsible for the cover art of his record, but also Lou Barlow and Tom Hingley, who shared the stage with him, showing their appreciation for his music.

After a bit more than one year from his acclaimed performances in Tucson, Arizona, where he played two consecutive nights at Red Room, sharing the stage with Tom Walbank (best Bluesman 2005) and Pearl Handed Pistol, The Niro is back to charm the American audience with the vibrant intensity of his storytelling and the emotional power of his uncommon voice.

The tour follows up the release of ANTI ATLAS project, on One Little Indian, where The Niro has been invited to perform by producer Chris Hufford, Radiohead’s manager. The young artist lend his words and voice to one of the songs in the album. The project features also renowned artist like Ned Bigham (composer and drummer to Neneh Cherry), Gemma Hayes and Yuki Chikudate (Asobi Seksu’s singer). The Niro’s debout album is due to be released next fall.
