"The Nihonga: Japanese Painting Now" March 8, 2009

An international university exchange exhibition held in conjunction with Musashino Art University in Tokyo, featuring the works of Japanese emerging artists and their teachers: Hiroki Abe, Lee Young Muk, Taiichiro Hibiya, Eriko Murata, Yoshio Ikezaki, Hiroaki Nagashima, Hiroaki Iwahori, Yukiko Oyama, Tetsuro Kato, Aguri Uchida, Yuji Kawana, Naoya Ueda, Lie Kosakai, Robert Walker.
Opening reception: Sunday, March 8th, 2009, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

A workshop with the artists will take place Sunday, March 8 at 3 p.m. This workshop will include introduction of Japanese painting techniques and a demonstration using Japanese Washi paper, Sumi ink and Japanese painting materials.
