A dozen playwrights have donated plays inspired by local charities and non-profits, to raise money and awareness for a dozen organizations doing phenomenal work in our back yard. Join us in celebrating them while being entertained by the amazing work these playwrights are bringing to our stage.

Playwrights include: written by Scot AUGUSTSON, Lenore BENSINGER, Mike DAISEY (author of 21 Dog Years), Ki GOTTBERG, Elizabeth HEFFRON, Marc “WAXIE MOON” KENISON, Marya Sea KAMINSKI (twice on the Theatre Short List for The Stranger's Genius Award), John LONGENBAUGH, Joy McCULLOUGH-CARRANZA, S.P. MISKOWSKI, Paul MULLIN (Stranger Genius Award winner for 2008) and Stephanie TIMM

Two programs of six plays (A & B) play on alternating nights (7:30PM), Thurs-Sun, with special late night (9:30PM) performances on Fridays and Saturdays).

"It's fast, funny, and delightfully fucked up."
- The Stranger

"What's surely a logistical headache for the good people at Next Stage is a fantastic opportunity for Seattle theatre-goers. A dozen original plays by some of our most talented writers is definitely worth your time, and your money: the productions are 100% volunteer, and the plays are all inspired by and supporting a local non-profit. Audience members vote on best play, and the winning play has its royalties donated to its charity."
- The Seattlest

"Absurdly hilarious... intellectually stimulating... deserves points for both entertainment and originality"
- The Seattle Weekly

"Directed by a roster of Seattle's proven theater visionaries."
- The Seattle P.I.

"The Nexus Project inspires nostalgia for what's good about a fringe festival: a soup of new work, a pastiche of the city's zeitgeist, and the happy surprises writers dig out of themselves when they're pressed against a deadline."
- The Stranger
