This edition of Making Theatre focuses on process rather than product.
Our longtime acting teacher, professional actress Cary Spear, and one of her classes will be working on scenes from several plays, using acting exercises, responding to coaching -- all of the stop-and-go, trial-and-error
that goes into turning words on a page into live performance.
Members of this class are all veterans of earlier Next Stage productions (three of them are cast in our upcoming 2011 Season productions).

Learn how a play gets to performance level, and never again think that all actors do is memorize their lines and stand in the right place!
