The New Mexico Experience
Dr. Rickard Peck, UNM President Emeritus and novelist, will discuss The New Mexico Experience, a sort of history of this land, before and since statehood, and its people. Since then he has published two novels which draw upon the details of history entertaining enough to be fictionalized. He’ll discuss the distinction between “history” and “fiction,” and the ways in which the same event can serve both ends.
