Private Gallery Tours
The New American Wing
Morrison H. Heckscher, Lawrence A. Fleischman Chairman of the American Wing

Learn the thinking behind the dramatic reordering of The Charles Engelhard Court and the American period rooms. The court, once principally a sylvan oasis, now showcases the Museum’s unsurpassed collections of American sculpture and stained glass and its superb holdings of American gold, silver, pewter, glass, and ceramics. The twenty period rooms dating from 1680 to 1914, formerly an engaging rabbit warren, have been rearranged and refurbished to offer a chronological survey of American domestic architecture that is without parallel.

These intimate tours are led by distinguished Museum curators and have limited availability.

Thursday, December 10, at 1:30: $300
Luncheon will be served at 12:15, prior to the tour.
