Back at VMFA by popular demand, this classic filmed document captures Pablo Picasso’s working methods in revealingly intimate detail. Celebrated French film director Clouzot (Diabolique, Wages of Fear) persuaded his friend Pablo to create works spontaneously, drawing and painting on special transparent canvases and filmed from the opposite side. The artist destroyed the works so that they would exist only in this film.
